Denmark R. Jensen, O.D.
Denmark R. Jensen, a graduate from The Ohio State College of Optometry became a full partner on August 16th, 2004. He received the 2010 Young Optometrist of the Year award presented by the Utah Optometric Association for significant service to the profession and to the visual welfare of the State of Utah. He was raised in Layton on Elm street until he was 9 years old when his father Dennis R. Jensen moved his family to Sheridan, Montana to run a family-owned grocery store. Denmark since went to Ricks College for two years to receive a degree in Interpersonal Communications. He graduated from Brigham Young University in December 1999 with a Bachelors’s Degree in Exercise Physiology. He graduated from The Ohio State College of Optometry in June of 2004. He also served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to the Copenhagen, Denmark Mission. You might wonder why he has such an unusual name. His great-great-great-grandfather was the first Scandinavian born on the plains of Nebraska, so they named him Denmark after the mother country. In honor of his legacy, Dennis and Corinne named their oldest son after him. Denmark is married to Dayna M. Jensen of St. Anthony, Idaho for 22+ years. Together they have 4 sons. He loves hiking, fishing, camping and skiing with his family.

Hello! I moved here to Utah a few years ago from Oregon. I am a huge nerd! I love Star Wars, Harry Potter, and The Lord of the Rings. I have only been in optical for two years, but I have been in management for the last twelve. In my spare time I love to read, play board games, and play video games. I am getting married this year on May the 4th to my wonderful partner Dave. We have four kids, three dogs, and a passion for being tired all the time.
I grew up in and have lived in Layton most of my life on the Firth Family Farm. My husband and I are the parents of four children, two son-in-laws, and five grandchildren. I enjoy art, softball, hiking, music, musicals, spending time with family, eating produce from our garden, and break-out singing and dancing to Alexa.
From illustration to animation, I admire it all! Puns are very punny indeed, so every once in a while, I will share one with you. I also decorate cakes on the side and hope to one day make a cute little children’s book.
Hey y’all! My name is Haley and I have been working here at Layton Visual Center for almost four years and currently run our social media and website. I am a student at Weber State and should be graduating soon with my degree in Marketing. I love music, singing, dancing, and spending time with my friends. I love being outdoors and enjoy hiking, camping, and running.

Hey y’all! My name is Ashley! I’m a true Texan at heart! I’ve been married to my amazing husband, Stephen, for 20 years. We have four beautiful daughters. We are an Army family and moved to the area last year. I was a stay-at-home mom for 19 years before starting this wonderful journey with my Layton Visual Center family. In my spare time, i enjoy spending quality time with my family, reading, and doing lots of shopping!
My name is Sean and I have over ten years of experience in the optical field. I started off in the lab manufacturing and learned how to make high quality lenses for spectacles before branching off in to the optometric and patient-direct side of the industry. I am originally from Montana, but I moved down to Utah in 2013 to be closer to family. I really enjoy the outdoors and being active in the mountains here, Utah has had a lot to offer so far!
I am the second oldest out of four siblings and have lived in Utah my entire life. I served in the Uruguay Montevideo West mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and am currently attending Weber State University, majoring in Anthropology. I am passionate for learning new things, running, and Disney music.
