Our Doctors
Denmark R. Jensen, O.D.
Denmark R. Jensen, a graduate from The Ohio State College of Optometry became a full partner on August 16th, 2004. He received the 2010 Young Optometrist of the Year award presented by the Utah Optometric Association for significant service to the profession and to the visual welfare of the State of Utah. He was raised in Layton on Elm street until he was 9 years old when his father Dennis R. Jensen moved his family to Sheridan, Montana to run a family-owned grocery store. Denmark since went to Ricks College for two years to receive a degree in Interpersonal Communications. He graduated from Brigham Young University in December 1999 with a Bachelors’s Degree in Exercise Physiology. He graduated from The Ohio State College of Optometry in June of 2004. He also served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to the Copenhagen, Denmark Mission. You might wonder why he has such an unusual name. His great-great-great-grandfather was the first Scandinavian born on the plains of Nebraska, so they named him Denmark after the mother country. In honor of his legacy, Dennis and Corinne named their oldest son after him. Denmark is married to Dayna M. Jensen of St. Anthony, Idaho for 22+ years. Together they have 4 sons. He loves hiking, fishing, camping and skiing with his family.

Hello! I moved here to Utah a few years ago from Oregon. I am a huge nerd! I love Star Wars, Harry Potter, and The Lord of the Rings. I have only been in optical for two years, but I have been in management for the last twelve. In my spare time I love to read, play board games, and play video games. I am getting married this year on May the 4th to my wonderful partner Dave. We have four kids, three dogs, and a passion for being tired all the time.

From illustration to animation, I admire it all! Puns are very punny indeed, so every once in a while, I will share one with you. I also decorate cakes on the side and hope to one day make a cute little children’s book.
